About the CDOW

Coastal Development Organization for Women (CDOW) is a non-political, Non government, Child and disability development organization of the southern west part of the Bangladesh. The office of CDOW is situated in Satkhira district under sadar upazilla at Satkhira municipality area which is 67 km from southern part of the divisional city of Khulna. CDOW always committed of the people about disability development, pre-primary child education, non formal primary education, child rights and protection, home based workers rights, uses sanitary latrine, developed hygienic, climate change issue and environment to this unconscious area. CDOW development activities for socio- economic development and community empowerment of disadvantage, marginalized and the poor farmer, especially poor child and disable in the southern coastal part of Bangladesh in this movement our organization has been working in the above sector near about 4000 development partner in both disable person, children, men and women. It is emerged in 1997 in Satkhira town a view to organize policy advocacy and open dialogues of different stakeholders on the present burning issue. CDOW also works with different stakeholders like civil society, child forum, associations, farmer societies local Government representatives, students and teachers for promoting rights, strengthening local governance. A board of CDOW, those are well known in social work and involved in different welfare activities in Satkhira district. Executes CDOW. At present, CDOW going to extend its activities to the community level, especially in beside district.
